Affectionately know as Pastor D’ – he has a practical approach to ministry, concerned with bridging the gap between our intellect and inspiration, passion and community problem solving, and the application of our faith in life between Sundays.
“Our commitment must be to grow people, bring about change in our world and inspire a culture of thinking believers.”- Pastor Madison
As a servant leader he is willing to go to any length to meet the needs of the church and God’s people. Beginning at the age of eight directing the youth choir and later in his teen years served as church organist and percussionist, Pastor Madison recognized his heart to serve in ministry. It was in his first year of college he accepted the call of God to proclaim the Gospel.
A graduate of Talladega College, he was featured in Ebony magazine (1997) in “The new generation speaks out; Student leaders discuss racism, love, sex and the black male-black female thing.” Throughout college, he continued to serve in ministry as a musician and later became minister of music.
Ensuing graduation, he entered the professional world and excelled far beyond the norm – so much so that he was afforded the opportunity to eventually be appointed the youngest Vice President in the history of his alma mater Talladega College. Moreover, in ministry he has served in many capacities – organist, minister of music, chief ministry/operating officer and 1st assistant to the senior pastor.
He has traveled throughout the country helping pastors build sound infrastructures, train leadership, advance their visions and most of all share the gospel of Jesus Christ. In supplement to his ministerial experience he attended Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary.
Pastor Madison serves as a contributing writer for several publications and distributes a weekly devotional. Most recently, he published his first book release “The Empowerment Pages – 40 days of Encouragement for Empowered Living.”
As Pastor of Stewardship & Development for Friendship-West Baptist Church in Dallas, TX – a mega church with over 12,000 in attendance under the awe-inspiring leadership of Dr. Frederick D. Haynes, III – Senior Pastor he engaged in transformative ministry living out the call to bring about change. And, that continues today as Founder and Lead Pastor of The Life Community Fellowship Church.
A member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., he is married to LaTonya Stallworth Madison. They are the parents of one daughter, Abrielle and twin sons Elijah and Noah.
